These earrings are hand made using authentic doubloons thrown from a Mardi Gras float in New Orleans, Louisiana! The doubloons are from the 1970s and 1980s. Some of these krewes no longer exist.
Any slight dings or scratches are character marks as these doubloons were thrown from New Orleans parading krewe floats and hit the ground where revelers scrambled to collect them during Mardi Gras long ago!
SUPER light weight for comfort! I wore them all day, on a boat, wearing a mask and forgot I had them on!!
